Body Shop No Longer Cruelty Free
Please note that Anita Roddick the founder of Body Shop died in September this year and before her death the company was sold to L'Oreal, a company that has a terrible track record in animal testing.
As Body Shop is now owned by L'Oreal there is no longer any measures taken to ensure that Body Shop products are cruelty free or not tested on animals.
Body Shop literature claiming cruelty free products are out-dated and no longer true.
Sadly Dame Roddick's vision and compassion has died with her. Please read Nature Watch's Press Release issued on this matter on 17 March 2006 at this link: http://www.naturewatch.org/shoppingguide/loreal_bodyshop_press_release.pdf
